Founded in 2004 after the monsoon floods, GRAE (Grassroots Relief, Aid & Empowerment) started as 7 volunteers with one pickup truck. Today we are a 140-person movement led by local councils in 6 regions.
We don't parachute in. We stay. Every project is co-designed with village elders, youth clubs and mothers' groups, then maintained by trained local keepers. That's why 94% of our wells still flow after 5 years — triple the sector average.

No. We serve everyone regardless of faith, caste or party. Councils are mixed and elected by villagers.
